USPA NEWS - On June 20, 2024, the 48th edition of the oldest national teams tournament in the world will begin: the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will host the match between Argentina and the winner of the playoff between Canada and Trinidad and Tobago.
There will be 16 teams, matching the number of teams in 2016 as the edition with the most teams in the tournament’s history. The 10 CONMEBOL teams plus 6 qualified CONCACAF teams will play; two places are still to be resolved (Canada/Trinidad and Tobago, Costa Rica/Honduras) in playoffs to be played on March 23.

Last champion?
Argentina won the tournament edition held in Brazil in 2021. It was 1-0 against the host team with a goal from Ángel di María.

There will be 4 groups and the top two from each group will advance to the quarterfinals. The tournament will have a debutant: the winner of the playoff between Trinidad and Tobago and Canada will compete for the first time in the competition.

On July 14, the final of the CONMEBOL Copa América United States 2024™ will be played at the Hard Rock Stadiu
